Flower Card
Wow! Is it already Thursday?
Since everyone seems to be curious about Kate's ABC's (it IS a cute cart) I've been thinking about doing cuts from the entire cart and doing a giveaway. What do ya think?
Well, here is a card I did but I have no purpose for it yet so it will just go into my card stash.
Details:
This is an A2 size card, all paper is from DCWV Nana's Nursery/Baby Girl paper pack.
This is a patchwork design. I used one paper design for the card background and then 4 other colors of cardstock for the squares for the patchwork.
I used my CM 1 1/4 square punch. (punched 4 squares of each color)Then, had a piece of white cardstock that was 4 1/4 x 5.5 and used my ATG to put adhesive over the top of the cardstock. Then, started arranging the squares (starting from upper right corner and overlap the outer edge with the squares slightly). Then, I put this onto my cricut mat and used my gypsy and lacy labels (3 ")to cut the scallop design onto the patchwork. (used blade depth of 3 and then had to cut 2x to go all the way through)
Then, I just glued down the mat and then adhered the patchwork scallop onto the the mat.
The flower was cut using Kate's ABC's at 2" (I think it was) but I didn't cut the top most layer out for the flower. I just wanted the yellow and pink and orange center. That was inked with MS chalk ink (including orange in the center). popdotted and put on the top of the card.
I had some of the patchwork paper I created left over after cutting the lacy labels and used that inside the card. I had this cute $1 stamp form M's and had some black Staz on ink and inked the sentiment inside the card. Then used pencils to color the stamped image.
